At St. James’, we are proud to be an inclusive, nurturing school where children come first and truly sit at the heart of everything we do.
We believe everyone needs to belong—and that’s exactly how you feel at St. James’. Every member of our school family helps ensure children feel safe, heard, and valued.
Rooted in faith, we believe in our children, and through the teachings of the Gospel, they learn to believe in themselves. Our community lives out the values of respect, trust, care, compassion, tolerance, and forgiveness each day.
We celebrate every child’s individuality and help them grow in perseverance, resilience, and confidence so they can develop a strong character, aim high, and achieve their dreams.
We are proud of our strong partnerships with families, the local and wider community, and the SHARES Lancashire Partnership, which provides high-quality professional development and keeps us at the forefront of new initiatives.
Our bespoke, knowledge-rich curriculum is designed to help learning ‘stick’, ensuring children know more, remember more, and do more throughout their primary years and beyond.
Personal development is central to our offer. Through hands-on learning, enrichment opportunities, and our work as a Forest School provider and member of the Forest School Association, children explore, grow, and develop a love of the natural world.
There is a real buzz at St. James’. Our children are curious, enthusiastic learners, and our warm, caring ethos shines through, in all we do.
